The Food System Resilience Program (FSRP) conducted a media documentary visit to Mulu Poultry Farm to showcase its contribution to Sierra Leone’s Feed Salone Initiative. The farm operates approximately 3,000 laying birds, producing around 2,900 eggs daily through modern battery cage systems, renewable solar power, CCTV security, borehole water supply, biodigester sanitation, and digital technologies. The visit highlighted the farm’s role in food security, employment creation, and sustainable agricultural development while identifying challenges including feed costs, transport, financing, and infrastructure needs. FSRP recognizes the farm as a model of technology-driven agriculture and encourages continued investment to expand production and strengthen national food systems.
